Joan & John Vatterott Family Foundation Logo

I was recently approached by the John & Joan Vatterott Family Foundation to design a logo. They had tried to create one themselves, but weren’t satisfied with the results.

I asked the foundation for any sort of imagery they might have and they sent me their family crest.

The crest is full of great heraldic imagery but too complex to use as-is. I decided to pull specific elements from the crest to use in the logo. This ensured the foundation’s visual identity would maintain a meaningful connection to the Vatterott legacy.
